Acceptable Use of Computers and Information Technology Resources

Itasca Community College has adopted MnSCU's Acceptable Use of Computers and Information Technology Resources, pursuant to MnSCU Board of Directors Policy and System Procedures (Chapter 5 – Administration, 5.22.1). I acknowledge that I have read the MnSCU Board of Trustees Policy and Procedures, and the Itasca Community College Procedures pertaining to the Acceptable Use of Computers and Information Technology Resources. Use this form to reset your password or activate your account. You will need to enter your ICC Username and your TechID to proceed. If you do not have these, please contact Computer Services in person, and be sure to bring a photo ID with you.

How to Determine Your ICC Network Username:

Username: (this is what you use to log into computers and web based services). Use the First 6 letters of your LASTNAME and First 2 letters of your FIRSTNAME*
Example 1: George Peterson would log in as petersge
Example 2: Thomas Doan would log in as doanth (If your last name is shorter than 6 characters, just use your whole last name. Don't make up extra letters.)

Password: (We initially set your password to your eight digit ICC TechID number.)
You will need this number to activate your account. Your new password must be at least eight (8) characters long, and can contain any combination of characters, numbers or extended characters.

Duplicate Username Problems: Some students with common names may have difficulty activating their account because someone else already has their username. For example, SmithTi might already be in use by Timothy Smith. Tina Smith won't be able to use the name SmithTi, because it is in use already. If you are trying to activate your account and you suspect a duplicate name issue is preventing you from doing so, please contact the ITS helpdesk at the number below.
